What do I need to rent a car in the Turks & Caicos?
To rent a car with Bayside TCI Car Rental, you will typically need to present a valid driver’s license from your country of residence. Most licenses printed in English are accepted. You will also need a major credit card in your name for the security deposit and payment. Some rentals may also require you to be a certain minimum age of 25, so please inquire about our specific age requirements when booking.
Where can I pick up and drop off the rental car?
Bayside TCI Car Rental offers convenient pick-up and drop-off options. We can arrange for airport pick-up and drop-off at Providenciales International Airport (PLS) for your convenience. Depending on your location, we may also offer delivery and collection services to your hotel or villa. Please specify your preferred pick-up and drop-off locations when making your booking, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Can I drop the car off at a different location than pickup?
Yes, you can select different pickup and drop-off locations during booking. Some location combinations may include a surcharge.
What is included in the rental price?
Our standard rental price includes the cost of renting the vehicle for the agreed-upon period and mileage as specified in your booking. Please note that this may not include optional extras such as insurance coverage beyond the basic included coverage (if any), child seats, GPS navigation, or additional driver fees. Be sure to review the details of your booking or ask our team for a clear breakdown of what’s included.
What is your booking policy regarding rental duration?
Our policy requires a minimum rental period of 3 days. We are unable to accommodate 1-day bookings at this time.
What is your cancellation policy?
Our cancellation policy may vary depending on the type of booking and the notice provided. We recommend reviewing the specific cancellation terms outlined in your rental agreement or confirmation. Generally, cancellations made with sufficient notice may be eligible for a full or partial refund. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to modify or cancel your reservation.
What is the minimum age to rent a vehicle?
Renters must be at least 25 years old. Younger drivers may be accommodated on a case-by-case basis and could incur a young-driver surcharge.
Is insurance included with my rental?
Basic coverage is available, and optional protection can be added during checkout or at pickup. Note that insurance does not cover tires, rims, windshield, or glass.
What happens if the car breaks down?
In the unlikely event of a mechanical issue, Bayside TCI Car Rental provides roadside assistance. Please contact us immediately using the emergency contact number provided in your rental agreement. We will arrange for assistance as quickly as possible to minimize any inconvenience to your travel plans. Our priority is to ensure you have a safe and reliable rental experience.
What is your fuel policy?
Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as received. Otherwise the renter is charged $10.00 per gallon.
How do deposits and payments work?
A card hold or deposit may be placed at booking, with the balance settled at pickup or return. The security deposit is released within three business days after the vehicle is safely returned.
What happens if I return the vehicle late?
Late returns may result in additional daily rental charges. Please contact us as soon as possible if your plans change.
